About the Conference
The Ministry of Health through Neglected Tropical Diseases Unit has the pleasure of hosting its 12th Neglected Tropical Diseases Forum on 5th – 7th December 2018 at Radisson Blu Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. The theme of this Forum will be ‘Transformation towards sustainable and resilient NTD control programs – the role of effective partnerships’.
These diseases kill, impair or permanently disable many people often resulting in lifelong physical pain and social stigmatization. Hence, there is a need to refocus our goals towards control, elimination and eradication of some selected NTDs by 2020 in line with the World Health Organization African regional goals.
With this in mind, the 2018 NTD Forum will focus on key areas of interest in neglected tropical diseases which include Preventive chemotherapy and transmission prevention, Innovative disease management, Vector ecology and management, Neglected Zoonotic diseases, Water sanitization and hygiene, Access to service delivery by 2020 milestone.. We look forward to very engaging discussions..
